THE TWELFTH DECADE (2001 0NWARDS)

The twelfth decade saw projects continuing a long-standing relationship with WoodGreen Red Door Family shelters in the renewal and expansion of two of their facilities and a study of their main facility for proposed renewal. Other church related projects include an expansion to Ganaraska Woods Retreat Centre, an out-of-town facility run by Calvary Baptist Church, Main Street and O'Brien House, a new seniors residence for the Abbeyfield Society of Shanty Bay, Ontario. Church projects have

   Alderwood United (2001)
included providing barrier free access for Alderwood United and German United churches, and facility use studies for St. Andrew's United Church, Beaverton and Islington United Church, Etobicoke. The latter project represents a renewed relationship with a church for which one of our predecessor firms were the original architects over fifty years ago.

With the firm positioned in its twelfth decade of continuous practice, we can but thankfully look back at the faith of the partners before that lead them to serve the community of churches and church related organizations resulting in what is likely the longest serving architectural practice in Canada.
